Looking for a way to combine our experience in the travel industry with our love of the outdoors, our passion for ski and snowboarding and enthusiasm, bordering on addiction, for renovating houses we stumbled across a tumble down barn during a winter visit to the French Alps in December 2014.

Through the fascinating process of French planning and purchasing we relocated to France in December 2015 and spent the following year renovating the scruffy old man of a barn into a contemporary and unique modern gentleman of a chalet.

In December 2016 the transformation was complete and our luxurious and spacious chalet was ready for guests.

The renovation gallery gives an idea of the process we went through and you can read more detail in our book – Barn to Boutique that you can preview and buy here.    (http://www.blurb.com/b/8396674-barn-to-boutique)

For winter 2017 we are off on new adventures meaning that the whole chalet is now available for holiday rental and is managed by our friends Hunter Chalets.

First Morzine because it’s a year round ‘resort’ with extensive winter and summer sports and a real community feel too that remains year round even during the ‘inter-season’.

Specifically the sunny side of the valley in a sought after area were many of our neighbours are long-standing ‘Morzinoire’. A peaceful area yet just a short walk to the restaurants and bars of Morzine and Montriond and easy access to the ski lifts all of which we use on a weekly basis.

Having renovated several homes in the UK, our aim here was to get closer to our ‘dream home’ in terms of location and design. The location and the rustic shell, full of old wood gave us a great base.
